Get Involved
The assistance of our volunteers and donors are
critical to the success of the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic. Without
their commitment and generosity, access to representation, information, and
community programs would be limited. Not involved yet?
There is always room for new people who want to get involved with the Low
Income Taxpayer Clinic.
Volunteer
Volunteers are a valuable element to the success of the Low Income Taxpayer
Clinic of AppalReD. They provide manpower, new ideas, different
perspectives, and a lifeline to the community. There are numerous ways
in which you can become a volunteer. Here are a few examples:
·
CPAs and attorneys are invited to join the Pro Bono Panel.
· Conduct a community
education program.
· Work on the publicity
and/or fundraising campaigns.
· Provide office support.
· Translate materials in
Spanish.
All volunteers receive training
and continued support from the Tax Clinic. Volunteer today by
contacting us at 859-624-1394 or cannong@ardfky.org. We will send you
a volunteer packet with job descriptions and volunteer forms. We look
forward to working with you!
Donate
The Low Income Taxpayer Clinic of
AppalReD is grateful to its donors, who generously support the general
clinic activities as well as specific clinic programs. Donors are a
critical element to the Tax Clinic's success. They sustain our every
day activities and have the unique ability to create public awareness by
underwriting new programs.
Our donors include individuals and organizations who support us through
grants and tax-deductible gifts. The Tax Clinic is currently funded in
part by grants from two exceptional programs. First, as a result of an
innovative grant from the Internal Revenue Service, as part of the Taxpayer
Advocate Service and the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic Program, we were able to
open our doors to the public and begin operations. Next, we are so
appreciative of the generous grant from the Kentucky Bar Foundation, Inc.
This grant will underwrite the upcoming project called "Financial
Independence and Self-Sustainability."
Please contact us by phone or mail if you are interested in supporting the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic of AppalReD. Thank you
so much for your support!
