Clinic Programs
Outreach Events
The Low Income Taxpayer Clinic of AppalReD attends local community events to
spread awareness about the project, to provide
information about the rights and responsibilities of taxpayers, and to reach
low income taxpayers who may need help resolving tax problems. Check
back for information about upcoming outreach events.
Community Education Programs
General
program topics include, and are not limited to:

The general rights and responsibilities of taxpayers
· The Earned Income Tax
Credit
· How and where to file
· Tax guidance for divorced
or separated individuals
· Tax highlights for persons
with disabilities
· How to become financially
literate
The Low Income Taxpayer Clinic of AppalReD is also pleased to offer a
special program called "Financial Independence and Self-Sustainability."
This program is underwritten by a generous grant from the Kentucky Bar
Foundation, Inc. "Financial Independence and Self-Sustainability" uses
the tax refund as the key tool in making a plan to manage your money and
ultimately become financially independent. This program will be
offered on a general basis and also on a special basis to high school
students and survivors of domestic violence. If you are a high school

The Low Income Taxpayer Clinic of AppalReD will begin conducting community
education programs this fall.
