Who We Are
The Low Income Taxpayer Clinic is a new project for the Appalachian Research and Defense Fund of Kentucky, Inc. ("AppalReD").  AppalReD is a private non-profit legal services program that provides free civil legal representation to 37 Appalachian counties in eastern and south central Kentucky.

What We Do
The Low Income Taxpayer Clinic of AppalReD provides free legal representation to help low income taxpayers resolve tax disputes.  The clinic also conducts outreach and education programs about the rights and responsibilities of taxpayers.  The clinic is funded in part by grants from the Internal Revenue Service and the Kentucky Bar Foundation, Inc.
 

Our Mission

The goal of the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic of AppalReD is to empower under-resourced families and individuals in eastern and central Kentucky through equal access to representation, outreach, and education.
